It
was that stage of life when everything screams for a change. I was
living the mad, urban, career-mom lifestyle and the stress signs were
beginning to show. It was then I had my first, all important
conversation with Vipulji - over a telephone line.
Yes,
he taught yoga. But no, it was not going to provide an instant cure for
all my many ailments. No, it was not a panacea for all my troubles. But
would I be willing to walk the journey of discovering yoga and its true
meaning?
Vipulji is a masterful
teacher, in that he doesn't teach.he helps you learn. And so with each
yogic posture, I learnt to observe for myself, learnt to question
myself, question my movements, my thoughts. I learnt each day to work
with an alertness and an awareness that I had not experienced before.
And this remains with me even today, while I am doing yoga and even
otherwise.
The stresses of life and
the aging processes never really go away, but I have found that I now
have the ability to pull back, observe and recharge myself. I can only
thank Vipulji for that. And now, I have my little son also learning
from Vipulji, so that he is better armed for his future.
